F.A.Q.

CycXOver is a computer package for the generation of optimal or near-optimal experimental designs for use in crossover experiments.  A crossover experiment involves the application of sequences of treatments to several subjects over a number of time periods.  Crossover designs are also known as change-over or carry-over designs.

In addition to the direct effect of the treatment applied to a subject in the current period, effects may carry-over from the treatment or treatments applied in previous periods.  These carry-over effects can be modelled in a number of different ways, and many of these can be specified in CycXOver.

In addition to the choice of model, CycXOver provides many other options.  A factorial treatment structure can be chosen, as well as different types of correlation structures.  Unequal replication of treatments is allowed, designs can be augmented by adding additional periods and, for non-factorial experiments, different weights can be given to different treatment comparisons.

You can also output a log file containing details of the CycXOver session, as well as files for the design layout.  There is an extensive help facility and a comprehensive on-line manual.

CycXOver provides the most comprehensive design generation package yet available for those involved in crossover experiments, such as in clinical trials, sensory perception experiments, psychological testing, dietary experiments and many more. The design types covered incorporate the most recent developments in research into the construction of crossover experimental designs
