You may download a demonstration version of CycDesigN 4.0. The demonstration version lasts for 30 days. A yearly licence can be purchased to make the demonstration version into a full year licensed version without further downloads.

Once you have downloaded the file, double click on CycDesigN4SetUp.exe and follow the instructions.

Note: Installation may require administration rights on your computer. Administrators should right click on the setup file and "Run as" under the user's account.

You can either purchase/renew a yearly licence by or by making an electronic transfer to CycSoftware's bank account (contact CycSoftware). If you purchase by using our secure connection then you can obtain a licence immediately by following the instructions below.

Single-user licences.

When you download the demonstration copy you will also see there is an application to run (ComputerInfo.exe found in the directory where you installed CycDesigN ) that obtains information from your computer to generate a licence to run CycDesigN on one computer. Running this application will generate a file called CycDesigN.txt in your installation directory. The serial number for a typical computer is depicted in red below.

Note: Obtaining this information for the licence may require administration rights on your computer. Thus an administrator may have to run ComputerInfo.exe.

When purchasing/renewing a licence by you will be given the option to enter the your main hard drive's serial number for the computer on which CycDesigN is installed, so that one licence can be emailed with your "Confirmation of Purchase".

When purchasing licences other than by , or you do not have the drive serial number immediately at hand, you can email CycDesigN.txt to CycSoftware later for the computer where CycDesigN is installed. We will then email the licence back to you as soon as possible.

Organizational licences

When purchasing/renewing a licence by , there is no need to provide any main hard drive's serial number and an Organizational licence will automatically be emailed with your "Confirmation of Purchase".

When purchasing licences other than by we will email the licence back to you as soon as possible.

Installing licences

Once your receive your licence or licences, then the licence file, cswlic.lic, should be placed in the folder where you installed CycDesigN, and then when you run CycDesigN you should see that it no longer reports on how many days you have left of the 30 day free trial. The licence is renewable every year.
